ABOUT THE COMPANY
The Organizing Genius, LLC was founded March of 2019 in Houston, TX by Li McGi. It started as a part-time business and quickly grew into one of the top Luxury Organizing & Closet Design firms in the country.
We booked our first organizing project April 2019 and our first custom closet January 2020. Since then, our work has been featured by organizing giant, The Home Edit, major retailer The Container Store, T.V. and magazines. We were also Container Store Brand Ambassadors for the 2021 - 2022 season.

Our primary goal is to elevate your lifestyle. We believe that each space we organize should be just as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional.

We're experienced with handing all items from photo collections to high-end luxury items. Our client base ranges from school teachers to high-profile and celebrity clients. We value our clients possessions and respect their need for privacy.

Our custom storage solutions are designed and built to maximize space in areas such as closets, pantries and laundry rooms etc. All of our spaces are extraordinary and one of a kind. Whatever your organizing needs are, The Organizing Genius can get it done!
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Li McGi is the owner, founder and Principal Organizer! She developed a knack for organizing by age 11 and is considered an organizing prodigy. Her passion for architecture and design started in high school when she signed up for wood working and drafting classes.
Upon graduation high-school, Li didn't go directly to college. She worked a few odd jobs before landing a position at a Hewlett Packard building computers. She obtained several IT certifications in computer networking, hardware and software including Microsoft. Information Technology is the career she settled into for many years. She held positions with tech giants Verizon, Apple and Wolters Kluwer.
In March 2019, a dire family situation drove her to creating a "side hustle" to make extra money. This is when The Organizing Genius was born. She based company name from her position as an Apple Genius. For a year and a half, Li balanced her corporate job in IT and organizing in the evenings and on weekends.
In September 2020, Li made the bold decision to leave her corporate career and become a full-time Professional Organizer and Closet Designer. With her IT background and above average IQ, Li has the ability to quickly solve problems on the fly. Her methodical thinking and attention to detail is what makes her an industry standout.

Our purpose is to assist with implementing organizing systems and improve process flow. ​With our specialized skills and great patience, we have the keen ability to sort through the clutter that disrupts the mental mindset. We then develop and implement storage solutions to get you optimally organized and it's our duty to teach you how to keep it that way.
Our work doesn't stop at physical things, it extends to organizing digital spaces and implementing processes and procedures so you'll become more productive throughout your daily lives. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
SERVICE RATES
Hiring a Professional Organizers is a life changing investment and commitment. Organizers generally bill service by the hour. Industry rates vary based on skill level and experience. Our rates start at $239/hr and could increase to $349/hr for larger projects. The average space takes 6 - 12 hours to complete. Save when booking multiple spaces at a time. The possibilities for custom spaces such as closets are endless. The cost will depend on several factors...mainly size, design elements and renovation level. We've designed and built closets ranging from 7k - 80k. Request free Discovery Call so we can chat about what your needs and desires are. Once the space has been assessed, we'll be able to provide an estimate.
ADDITIONAL COSTS
The key keeping your space organized is "containment" with the use of organizing products such as hangers, shelving, bins & baskets. The cost for products is not included in the hourly service rate. If products are needed for your project, we will request additional funding for shopping. The cost for products vary greatly ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Full home projects can reach 5 figures ($$,$$$) when custom storage solutions are factored in.
We offer multiple payments options: Credit Card, ACH, Wire Transfer, Zelle, Cash and Financing with Affirm or Klarna.
